I have identified five different back types, many with variants too many to list here, but the basic five backs are reproduced here:



Type 1 - anything without the

and 1948








Type 2 - Large Norman Helmet

Postally used between 1928

and 1984







Type 3 - Small Norman Helmet

Postally used between 1939

and 1959







Type 4 - The most common

Norman Helmet, postally used

between 1940 and 1991  








Type 5 - The last design of Norman

Helmet, postally used between

1959 and 1997
